Family is making me feel like shit for not inviting a girl I used to babysit for (10+ years ago) to my baby shower... She is seriously drunk ALL of the time... but my family already told her she would be invited, and they're mad that I do NOT want her there.... I already have quite a few people coming & I'd rather have more time to spend with the people I want there than those that I don't want to be there.... Wish they would understand that! Even though others are throwing me a shower it doesn't mean that they can invite people I absolutely do not want there.... 😡😤

I know the feeling! I refuse to invite a friend of the family and its SO awkward because she asked to throw the shower. But I never speak to this women. Just stand firm, its your baby, your shower.

She came and tried to invite my SO's brother to an all girl shower so she wouldn't have to "deal with the bullshit by her self"

@katearabella, @gingyrex isn't it ridiculous? People think that just because they're the ones throwing it, that they get to have the final say on who comes/who doesn't..... it's not their shower!! So frustrating!

It is but I threw it and got guilt tripped by her and my SO saying my MIL was crying and shit which was bs. Because she suffered through it 😒

if I have a baby shower this time I'm doing all the planning. I'm thinking of doing a meet and greet instead though.

my cousin didn't want a baby shower bc they had everything they needed for their son before he was even born so she decided on a meet and greet. she sent invites out and everything. she set a date a few weeks after her due date.(she even added 2 extra weeks in case her son was stubborn and she still had him a couple weeks before her meet and greet )
