Does anybody else let their babies sleep on their tummy? My son will be 4 weeks tomorrow and it seems like the only way to get him to sleep at night is putting him on his tummy. He sleeps next to me so I just let it be since he has good head and neck control.

My daughter is the same way but it's the only way we'll both get any sleep! She's 7 weeks. I was scared & I still am but as long as you watch them, it should be fine!

@mamakimmi, he definitely has good neck control for a 4 week old! Lifts his head up when he's on his tummy and can move it side to side when he's sleeping.

Your discretion of course. I wouldn't if my baby didn't have good neck control. But you know your baby so do what you believe best.My oldest 2 slept on there tummies from birth. They slept on there backs occasionally.

@jgled000, true it's the best for us since I breastfeed and he wakes up every 3-4 hours to eat. He loves sleeping on his tummy too and I'm not stressing about it and just let him do it lol

I say do what works for you. I didn't plan on cosleeping, but it's the only way my son will sleep for 4-5 hours.
