I get the spinal and feel no pain but I have seen women get the epidural and have pain cause it isn't done right

I had an emergency section with my first, no pain. And my husband had our daughter not that long after she came out. I am a scheduled section for my second one. I was so scared the first time. I never had surgery before, and it was a breeze!

@sarah528, thank you that's comforting.. Did you have the spinal or epidural?

Spinal, and it didn't go as planned. I wanted an all natural birth. The doctor asked if I minded a student anesthesiologist, I said no, we all have to learn. As I am a nurse and was a student not that long before. Anyways, the student messed up, and the doctor came in to do it after all. I had a spinal leak, and before I was discharged I have a blood patch... Which is where they take blood out of my arm, and inject in directly in the spinal space. Worked like a charm and no more headaches. But I am not worried and this time around I would be open to another student too
