I waited until a month to have sex with no tears during birth or complications. some ppl suggest you wait until 6 weeks because your cervix could still be open and you get an infection

I didn't tear with my first because doc had to cut me. it was a painful recovery. I waited a month before I attempted and it wasn't long enough lol

trust your doctor. they give that recommendation for a reason. :)

nope no stitches cause I didn't tear lol. my baby was small. . 6 lbs 10.5 oz 19.5 inches long

I didn't tear, and everyone says you can have sex (at least safe sex) once you stop bleeding. I waited up until I stopped bleeding and it was fine. We just had to be a little careful because the harder he pushed, there was a slight pressure. Just take it slow 😊

@monique51893, they usually recommend 6 weeks regardless of how your birth experience was so your uterus can return to pre pregnancy size and to prevent infections.

I waited the 6 weeks, to the day! Mentally I was ready to go 3 or days after I delivered, but physically I needed more time. It was definitely not comfortable even after 6 weeks. We took it slow and used lots of lube
