My friend had her 22 month old in the room. And when her baby came out, his sister was so happy and already protective over him when he cried for the first time.

It wouldn't be crazy at all if your hospital allows it. But just have someone there as a buffer in case the baby needs to step out for a minute or something like that🙂. I had my 2 girls with me at the last birth and now I will have all 3 at our sons birth. It is a wonderful experience they will never forget.

Thanks ladies! I will definitely have some one on stand by! My little boy loves babies, so I think he would love seeing the new one. My husband thought it was a crazy idea!

I don't think he'd be allowed in delivery but could come in after. I guess it depends on the hospital. Mine let me bring two of mine but they were older. @keirhannson

I had a friend who just had her baby and they had their 17 month old in labor and delivery. It varies from State to State and different hospitals as well. I'm planning to talk to the hospital about it beforehand! I dont want him with us the whole hospital stay, that would be stressful. I really just want him in Labor and Delivery. I was only in labor with him for 7 hours and he came so fast, I never pushed I didnt know what was going on. So they anticipate my delivery to be quick and easy

my hospital said you can but someone else besides the father has to be in there to watch him.

Thats definitely not a bad idea. I would have someone else there as well :)
