I have an appt Feb 8th and I'll be 16 weeks..can I ask my Doctor for an extra u/s to find out what the baby is?!?! if not I have to wait until my next appt March 16th and I'm dying to know now!!!

just depends...I asked mine and they said no ...I needed to wait until 20 weeks.

we've been trying for for 3.5years and have had 3 miscarriages so my dr. has pretty much let me call the shots so I'm hoping he says yes. haha. plus he's not covered under our insurance so heck he would get his $$ that day for the extra u/s. I just didn't know how well it would show up at 16 weeks

My hospital will not do it until 20 weeks....so I paid and got a private one from an ultrasound studio done at 15 weeks to find out the gender. It was $120 where I'm from to go to a studio.
