I had 3 showers and each one was planned by family or friends. I was asked for guest lists and preference of food but that's it. However you can plan your own also, I've seen that before and it wasn't a bad thing.
why does it suck? @iamthebluebird ...mine and my boyfriends families are so different they dont talk to each other ...so me planning it makes sense...they offered to help in anyway just something I have a better chance at doing it right .
Well you're 27 weeks so I understand being impatient. I had one at 30, 32 & 34 weeks. I would just talk to the people who have mentioned it because I would want to establish dates and figure out when to send invites (2 weeks prior is best).
yea I want to just have one...and whoever wants to come from the invites that's fine...it's for the baby. I want to have mine at the end of March a month before she's due.
Because my husband is in the process of getting out of the military and we're going to be moving 12 hours away and it'd be nice to not have to worry about planning my baby shower so I could relax or something. We're moving to Indiana and one baby shower will be in Kentucky and the other will be in Michigan so I have to plan most of it, but most of the stuff, and drive there 😩 it's just a lot right now. I would much rather someone else just take control. I'm a control freak but I can let that project go. It's just a party and I feel like it should be put together by a family member! A bride doesn't plan her own bachelorette party, right?!
your right... @iamthebluebird ...every situation is different..you going back and fourth! I applaud you 😊 luckly everyone we would like to come is in the same area.
with my first I did it my stuff I didn't wanna to count on some one I had help by a friend.. but I love it.. with my second my friend planned it and I think it could of be better.. so it just depending on you..
my group of "friends" are making one for other 2 friends that are pregnant too, I feel sad cause they don't add me to celebrate but they invite me to the baby shower to bring something but idk what to do if I go or just reject them... 😢
