I have had this same issue and am going to physical therapy because of my sciatic nerve. But I spoke to the doctor about this and she said that when your pregnant your body lets out a natural hormone that softens your bones which allows them to widen to make room for delivery of baby, the reason I was in so much pain was because one side shifted a little higher than the other. Super painful but the lady was able to realign it, thankfully.. Still hurt for a few days but feeling better now
