My first baby also started feeling him at 18 weeks. To me it felt like a fish flopping. I'm just now starting to get kicks at 22 weeks. But everyone is different. I thought I felt him move sooner but then would feel the need to pass gas so I knew that wasn't him.
I was like that too. So impatient I was like I'll never feel him move! It isn't strong enough yet to keep me awake. I'm just starting to feel him move at work since I move around all day. When I first started feeling him it was after I got home from work and sat on the couch and relaxed. Every little feeling I'd be like was that him? When I got the first actual movements I still questioned it but now I know for sure it's him because it's the same feeling all the time. You'll know for sure eventually. In the beginning it sucks because you just second guess yourself. The baby may be small but everyone is different so it's hard to say for sure if it's the baby moving or not. Just wait it out a few more weeks and if the feelings still feel the same you'll know it was baby! @carmanbaby
