QUESTION:
My husband works out of town M-F. What should I plan on doing if I go into labor and he's not here to take me to the hospital? I'm a FTM and have absolutely no family in the state.
Do I call 911? Do I drive myself? He normally works about 4-5 hours away, so he will come but what if that's not enough time? HELP!

I would call 911

I think you call 911, or maybe have someone else drive you, maybe a close relative or friend. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe someone posted on here it was illegal to drive while I labor? Like I said, not 100% sure on that.

Don't drive but it just depends on how your labor starts. Some start off slow so he could have time to get to you. You could labor for 10-12 hours. But first if you think you are in labor call your doctor and explain to them what's going on. Then if you feel like you can wait on hubby then wait on him. Even if your water breaks. Sometimes your water can break and you will be at a 3 and might not hit 10 til the next day. So it all just depends on how your labor starts off.
