I'm sorry how is naturally inducing labor selfish? they aren't doing it simply because they want their baby to be born already. they do it because once you hit 37 weeks, it's safe and doctors start telling you that you can. and there's a point toward the end where it's all but rainbows and butterflies. I still have a few weeks. but I've hit that points already. and it's not like it instantly starts labor. it takes time for most women. I mean, I'm no expert on the subject, but come on. don't be so ignorant and judgmental. we're here to support each other. if you can't do that, don't come on this app.

There was just another post about this subject. It was mainly about the ladies that aren't safe to be inducing yet but still asking for ways to do so. Which is scary. It's normal to be anxious about having your baby but it's dangerous. Once you're at the point when you're considered full term go for it. I had GD and I still waited full term but they let me decide. I could of had him at 38 weeks but I wanted to see if he would come on his own. I was induced on my due date.

I waited until my due date to start natural induction techniques and dang, let me tell you, I tried almost EVERYTHING (except castor oil, eff that lol). I'm not even exaggerating. Nipple stimulation/pumping, sex, every "trigger" food there is, Evening Primrose oil, raspberry leaf tea, ball bouncing, dancing, spinning babies, meditation, yoga, chiropractics, just to name a few. I did this for two weeks. 😳 So, my point is this: your body isn't going to react to any form of natural induction until it is ready. I wish I wouldn't have done any of that, except the tea and the EPO, which is more so used to help during labor. Ok, chiropractics, too because I'm pretty sure I was misaligned. Anyways, stressing out about it seems to delay the process. My advice to anyone wanting to speed up the process is this: relax. It will happen when it's supposed to.

I think it definitely depends on the circumstances. Some people want to induce labor at 31 or 33 weeks and that's just too early. The baby has so much more developing to do. Even at 37 weeks, the baby isn't always ready. I'm 37 weeks and wouldn't even dream of trying to get my labor started. My baby is still only 5.4 pounds and there are a lot of health risks if born at that weight. So basically, it's not always a bad thing to induce, but people definitely need to be smart about it and not just do it because they're uncomfortable.

I'm going to be 37 weeks and 5 days tomorrow and because of the size I'm concerned to go any longer than 38 weeks. my 1st was 10lbs 4oz and almost got stuck plus he was under stress so I really want to avoid that this time around. not only that but the external hemroids I've been suffering from due to the weight

@autumn, @blessedmamaofboys @mamalamadingdong @rochelleyayy I'm not saying that it's ok before you're considered full term but even then there's nothing wrong with asking. I understand people are impatient, but most of the time, from what I've seen, they're asking because they're curious and want to know for future reference. and in opinion, once your full term, unless your doctor suggests waiting, I don't see a problem with it. but, who am I to judge other women on how they handle their pregnancies? unless they're doing meth/other hard core drugs and drinking heavily, it's non eof my business. I just find it ridiculous that people are coming in here saying it's selfish of them to want to try and naturally induce instead of being medically induced.

@blessedmamaofboys, oh man, I know your pain! My second was 10 lbs 8 oz and I delivered him vaginally at 41w6d. It took me 3 1/2 hours of pushing... I thought he wasn't coming out. Big difference compared to my 6 lb 12 oz baby before that, who only took 7 minutes of pushing! 10 pounders are no easy feat! Congrats for being a champ!!

To each their own. The topic is always so controversial. It's just sad when you see the mommies that are 30-31 weeks asking about how to induce labor. Who is to say they won't use the information then and there. We don't. We can just hope they don't. It's a touchy subject because as a pregnant momma I just want everyone and their babies to be healthy 😊 I'm worried about the size of my baby as well since I'm measuring 30 weeks and I'm only 26+5. But I'm going to let nature take its course and hope I can have him natural lol we should be lifting each other up instead of bashing for sure but no one wants to see irresponsibility either. I'm trying to enjoy my pregnancy because I know how much I missed it once I had my first. Try not to take things personal though. There's always going to be obnoxiousness. Take care 🙂

@mamalamadingdong, oh wow sounds like very similar to me 3 hours of pushing! my epidural didn't work either so I felt every 23 1/2 inches of him. he was supposedly 39 weeks gestation lol 😂. this one is measuring 7lbs 5 oz at 36 weeks and it's like a repeat of the first so I'm kinda trippin lmao props to us for making it through having mini quarterbacks 💪👍

Yeah, a BIG difference each pound makes, huh?! When I see people complain about having a rough hour or so of pushing, I just shake my head and laugh lol. I popped a blood vessel in my eye, spouted a ginormous hemorrhoid while pushing and ended up having to use a walker for 2 weeks and was in SO much pain for a month after! @blessedmamaofboys
