So, I may get in trouble for this, but I want to post this because I wish I had seen this before having to have a c-section. I know they are scary. I think the scariest part for at least younger women is the scar. I Google imaged the scar and was petrified to the point where my first words to anyone in the hospital were "under no circumstance do you give me a csection, I don't care what happens." Of course, birth can not be planned and after 3 days of labor and 3 hours of pushing, my son still hadn't decended. His heart rate started dropping and my tune turned around real quick and I was demanding a csection that second. My second day in the hospital, the curiosity hit me. I had heard and seen so any horror scars, I wonder which one I got curse with. I went to the bathroom and slowly lowered my bandage. I was in complete shock and run back out going "I can even still wear a bikini!!!" When I got the staples out, I was reassured it would heal like nothing ever happened. I never believed him. But it did. Yes, if you look hard enough, you may see my scar, but for the love of God, do not let Google image dictate your decision about how to bring a child into this world.

Yes! I love this so much, you can barely even see your scar. Only if you look REALLY hard, I had my heart set on a vaginal delivery but the same thing happened to me. My sons heart rate would get really low and he wouldn't drop. Not even 5 minutes after I was told I had to get a c-section I was being wheeled to the OR. I've heard tons of horror stories and I was scared to death. It really wasn't all that bad. Our scar is a badge 😊

@kcamps, exactly!! people try to reassure me with "well you can try for a vbac" like my first birth wasn't good enough. I got told by 2 doctors to not try for a vbac because im a higher risk for tearing. I cried at first, then just came to my senses. the only super noticeable part to me in the in center where there was an issue with an staple, I'll save the details.

It's like when you're in the moment and all of those things go on all you want is to be able to get your baby out safely. I lucked out with my scar, I had dissolvable stitches. But like the day after they let me take a shower and they had two bandages over it and the top one came off. So I was standing in the bathroom like freaking out, and I pulled the cord for assistance and 10 nurses rush in and I'm standing there like uhh my bandage came off 🙄

you still had to go through pain and a longer recovery! Having a c-section is no joke. And everyone's body is different! I can't even see your scar! You look amazing!

I was confused at first. I'm like I don't get it. Once I read your post I was like wow you can't tell at all. You look great!

lol @gcpaschal I know it was super random. I just never think about my scar anymore because I can't even see it unless I look in the mirror and I see a lot of chatter about woman fearing csections. I never had one person while pregnant reassure me that it would be OK if I had to have one. my own mom told me it was disgusting to her.

I had a c section and they showed me up and did it very low and you can't even see the scar I can still wear a bikini so there technology is way better then it was

I've had 3 and having another one with these 2 it's scary I can't see my scar cause it's under my stomach but I have 3 little miracles and 2 more on the way 😊
