Rant! I hate my ex mil so much! She is a very manipulative and hateful bitch. The only reason I allow her in my kids lives is because they do love her and she treats them well. She's starting to cross the line though and now that her abusive drug addict son is out of prison (again) she is starting to go back to her sneaky ways. I can't wait for my husband to adopt them (my ex is willingly signing his rights over; best thing he'll ever do for them) then the rules of the game will change!

she threatened to take me to court over visiting rights so I called a lawyer and he told me that I legally have to let her see them once every three months but that having her come to my house was reasonable. @kelseys after the adoption though I think the rules change.

she also has to prove you as an infit mother. and if the kids have lived with her sir 1 1/2yrs or more. but yes, once every few months but if she's an unfit grandparent then the courts will side with you. and its going to be a lot of money and time for her.

they've always lived with me, she's never had custody or anything. she cant prove I'm unfit and in my divorce I got sole legal and physical custody because their sperm donor is a pos.
