So this older lady came to the NICU to drop off one of the moms breast milk while waiting for her to come up there. Lady: *hands the milk to the nurses and says, Ok I'm going to see the baby.
Nurse: Hold on ma'am. I need to check the visitors list...... I'm sorry but the parents have set the baby's visitation as closed, meaning no one can go back without one of the two present.
Lady: *Gets mad, So even though I'm the grandma I can't go see my grandchild? *starts pulling out her phone
Nurse: No that's how they have it set up. I'm sorry.
Lady: *calls the daughter, I can't go see the baby bc of how you set the visitation up. You need to change that bc i want to see her now.
Totally reminded me of my mother in law......
my Hubby's mom is rude and mean at points she just has that personality, ok so nothing to do with nicu but one time back when my daughter was like 8 months and having teething pain, I told her Keira threw the frozen teether cause she didn't like the coldness of it... my mil had the nerve to say "you need to tell her No, don't let her throw it force her to keep it there" its like woman if my child doesn't like something I'm not going to force it there if she doesn't like it then that's fine.
btw my daughter doesn't like his mom lol almost every time she holds her she starts crying she's 15 months old. it's like if you didn't yell and swear at everyone all the time she might like you. kinda glad she doesn't thought me and my SO don't really either 😂😂😂
@emmajeremy2627, they think they do! But me and my SO have sat and talked about how his mother is and why she can't be more like my mom about it? His mom has to be in control of EVERYTHING and she can never be wrong! 😡
when my baby was in the nicu we had it set so no one can visit unless one of us was there as well. always had the thought my mil would try and visit her, (she never did try but still) also felt safer having that rule in place knowing a family member wasn't visiting without us or holding her.
that's crazy shed get mad but @tifftilton94 @arianna321 that's the exact way my mil would be.
she'd probably say something like "I drove all the way out here, I should be able to see my grandchild when I want" I swear family members think they should have the same rights as the parents. 😂😑
@arianna321, sounds like my mother in law! We have it set up only immediate family and no kids! And she's mad cause she wants to be in the room while I deliver....um no! 👋🏼
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
TWW!!
2dpo and on the tww journey. Anyone on the same dpo or close? Haven't decided if I will test at 12dpo or just wait and see if she shows up!!
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
the amount of women who are clueless about their own anatomy is so sad and shocking. a lot of the women are older than me and have more children then I do 😳
now I understand that everyone has their own opinion on the topic and grown adults can do whatever they want with their bodies but to deny facts and make up false statements about your own anatomy when it comes to your unborn child is just so disappointing.
