It's really preference, I feel. We're getting a cheap bassinet for the first few months and then baby will move into a crib. With our first, he slept in a vibrating chair next to our bed for the first 3 months cause he didn't want anything to do with the crib and we were nursing--so much more convenient to have them nearby IMO. But it really comes down to what works for you and your space (:

we got a pack and play with the bassinet attachment. It's super handy because you can take it with you places and it's a bassinet!!

u can find some on offer up I bought one there for $40 which I only used for my baby's first month

yes its worth it they can be there up to 3-4 months depending on their weight i have a wood one

we have a rock and play. and a crib. rock and play for 1st month then into their crib they go.
