hubby and I were watching NCIS and it was a kinda bittersweet episode. I know it's a made up show but some of the scenarios are somewhat true to some Marine, Sailor, Airmen, or Soldier...I gave my hubby an extra long hug and kiss and told him that I'm glad that he made it home safely... any other military wives/personnel relate to this?

YES! Except I'm still awaiting mine... he will be home in a littlw over a week for baby and will probably have to go back until mid April ish... ugh! so done! miss him terribly! 😢

I was in high school when he was active duty. sure we weren't married at the moment but I did and still do care for him a lot. the time difference drove me nuts and the only time I could talk to him was during school when he was in Hawaii or Iraq. sure I did get in trouble once out of my 4yrs but it was so worth it. being able to talk to my soldier was the best. I did get into minor trouble with 2 teachers lol one didn't really notice but my senior art teacher noticed that I was doing more than just looking at a picture for my project. I explained to him the scenario and I think he felt pity and understood where I came from oh sure we spoke in the hallway and the other students snickering if I got in trouble but really only got a slap on the wrist if that. He came back home from active duty a week before my 20th birthday... sure I enjoyed the small presents that I got but I didn't really care about them that year. I had my soldier home and that's all I wanted...
