I didn't fast before my 1hr glucose and failed. but my midwife also said I could eat half a banana in the morning before my test so that is part of what caused me to fail. so I would fast just in case. I didn't even drink water

yes I had to fast 10-12 hours my past two pregnancies. And I was told water was fine. But nothing else.

I'd call and ask because there's different ways they run the test. If you don't have to fast, it's still best to avoid a carb or sugar rich breakfast (have eggs and spinach vs pancakes).

I was told to fast, and nothing after midnight, no gum, water, candy, anything, but I always drank water because I get thirsty. 😂

Ask your doctor. It depends some have you fast and some don't. I didn't have to fast for mine.
