has anyone had anemia during pregnancy? is it a serious thing? Cause these people are trying to put…

I have it but Idk how dangerous it is. I dont do anything but take my prenatal it has iron in it my dr. never prescribed me a iron supplement so I just do what I can.

@javiersmom, I had it w all 4 of my pregnancy. Never heard dangerous. My dr just put me on more iron plus prenatal

I have it and have to take iron pills daily. If you treat it and get your iron levels up you should be fine, but my doctor has told me scary things about blood transfusions during labor as a worst case scenario.

i had it with both of my pregnancies they say its dangerous because of the side effects it hit me hard very dizzy weak short of breath rapid heartbeat i couldn't even walk a block i felt i was going to pass out i drink iron pills 3 times a day and my blood count keep going down so they thinking about blood transfusions before i deliver the baby most likely the baby will be born with anemia also. yeah I'm super dizzy & always have rapid heartbeat but since I've been taking my pills I've noticed less of it @lovelycin09 do you know what your iron level was at? like my dr told me normal is an 11 & I was a 9

I've always had it because I'm vegetarian. I take my prenatal and then an iron pill twice a day. Not sure how dangerous it can be but I know it's not good for you or baby.

I'm not sure ill have to ask on Wednesday when i go to my appointment but she said it keeps getting lower each time that is way below she sent me to a Hematology doctor so they deciding what they going to do i only have 1 week left so they'll probably give me the blood transfusion or induce me also because of my blood pressure it keeps going up. it sucks but it will be worth it

I had anemia with my daughter but I don't think its anything dangerous just as long as your taking your prenatals and eating foods that have iron in them , I also took iron pills twice a day for a week and that helped me alot. My daughter was born big and healthy she weighed 9 lbs 11 oz

you didn't have any problems with bleeding out a lot or anything @jossy1203

hey hun i found out its an 8 normal its 12 they starting to give me iron injections and vitamin b12, 3 times a week till i give birth which is in 1 week doctor said it usually takes up to 2 hours for the infusions.. Good luck hope everything goes well with you
