it has happened even in the arms of the parents :/ its a horrible, terrifying death that I wish didn't exist

well damn I did not know all this. makes it worse.. I am over here in tears I don't want to loose the only chance I will have to have a child and be a mom :(

We are just as stressed as you girl! the best way we've decided to try to handle it is we're keeping her in our room until 6 months, we are getting an Owelet monitor something that is definitely worth looking into. of course no blankets and such in her bed.. and I'll probably still be waking up every hour to make sure she is breathing... and DEFINITELY take an infant CPR class!

it has been driving me crazy since I had my baby girl. I never sleep because I'm always stating at her, checking that she's breathing, I even have alarms to wake me up. I even take a tea to keep me up at night, helps with energy. I'm ridiculous I know. I just can't help it.

but enjoy your baby don't over think this too much. I can't say don't worry. but we worry about SIDS so much sometimes we forget to enjoy our LO's first months :(

Baby monitors have been getting hacked lately I think there is in site about it let me find it I don't want to scare you but just be careful

they came out with this monitor that connects to the baby's foot like an sock, and it monitors movement and heart beat. I think its called owlet or something. its worth 250 and I'm going to get that plus the sensor pad that goes under the mattress

It's scary I will have my baby sleeping next to me but on his playpen I prob won't sleep just to watch the baby

Sharing a room with baby helps reduce the risk of SIDS, them hearing you breath reminds their brain to breath, binkies also help because the sucking helps them not fall into a deep sleep.
