I just breathed through it, made a lot of no doubt terrible faces and noises, too, but I got through it. We were built to withstand the pain. You can do it, mama ☺

lots of concentration. you have to literally put yourself on a whole nother planet. plus my fear of needles completely outdoes my pain tolerance, so I didn't get the epidural until 3 days in when I just needed a nap

I was pushing through it until back labor set in. Once I had that I had to get the epidural so I could breathe again. Back labor is a bitch!
