So a week from today I get my cervix check. I'm nervous about it because I have no tolerance for pain and I really don't know what to expect. I've heard different things but can anyone tell me exactly what happens ?

your doctor will use his/her fingers to feel how dilated/soft your cervix is. unless your cervix is really high and behind your pelvic bone, like mine is, you'll just feel pressure. for me tho, it's a little painful because of where my cervix is.

It just depends on your body. My doctor has to have me raise my hips for her to feel and they just use 2 fingers and feel how open it is. It doesn't really hurt but can be uncomfortable but much better then a speculum exam.

It's the same thing as getting a pap smear! Best think to do is try to relax!

I got mine checked for the first time at 28 weeks it wasn't bad at all. Just a lot of pressure and is over within like 10 seconds. Mine just used two fingers to feel.

Depends on how high up your cervix is, mine was always really high so she had to reach way up, and it's very unpleasant but really not that bad. Now if you ever have to get a speculum exam with no gel prepare for a nightmare.
