Any one els on medformin for pcos? I am almost done with the 30 day supply and still no period for 43 day and only got my last on because of provera if i am not pregnant did your obgyn give you more provrea to induce your period? want to know if i should call my doctor.

I'm on Metformin for PCOS. I started on January 5, 2016. Started off with 1 pill (500 milligrams) a day for a week. After a week, 2 pills a day (1000 milligrams). On January 27 I had a positive OPK test ☺️.

Well that sucks (the bloating, etc). Hopefully your dr will schedule you to come in to do some blood work. But I'm here to let you know that Metformin does work for ovulation! I got pregnant with my son off Clomid (now trying for baby #2 with Metformin). The first month I didn't ovulate so my doc told me to double the dosage for the next month (I did ovulate/conceive). Please don't get discouraged. Everyone's body is different. For some it may take a few more tries than others, it will happen, don't give up!
