I'm just curious as to what everyone's cycle length is. Mine is 36 days, which I've read is normal and not normal. It comes within seven days (early or late) but it is always around the same time my period tracker predicts it. I just want to know if this is normal or not and see what everyone else's is. 😊
@babymay2016 Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome. It's where you get multiple cysts on your ovaries that either cause you to ovulate irregularly or not at all. It's not impossible to get pregnant when you have it, just makes it very hard since you don't ovulate normally.
Hm I don't know what PCOS is, but I have been hospitalized for ruptured cyst on my ovaries and have some symptoms you listed. I had trouble conceiving, and had a miscarriage August of 2014. My doctors said it could have had to do with the ruptured cyst that became infected and I could have died. My miscarriage was right after. They said I would have even more trouble conceiving, as my uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries were scarred... but I am now 23 weeks along with my baby boy, and he seems to be very very healthy 😊
and thank you. I appreciate it. I'm hoping I don't either and if I do, at least let it be after I have my children.
@lillysmommy it's a possibility she won't. my sister and I both don't show symptoms. I'm assuming it is a recessive gene and you need to have both in order to get it. So it can be very unlikely to get it.
@lilfree16 it is hereditary. I and my sister have a 50% chance of getting it. My mother though was diagnosed around my age, and I'm not showing any symptoms (skin tags, weight gain, irregular periods, cysts on my ovaries) and neither is my sister. But what is odd about it, is that my mother was the first one in our entire family to get it.
@taymarie08, you give me hope that my daughter wont get pcos I would hate if she gets it.
@taymarie08, aww thank you but if it does go over a year make sure to go to your obgyn.
@lilfree16 mine is only 4 or 5 days. I couldn't do an entire week either! lol
mines is 26 days lasts 3 days =) i couldnt do a week period lol id be on someones birthcontrol asap!
@lillysmommy my mom has PCOS. I don't have any of the signs or symptoms that she has. So we believe that I don't have it. & the fact that I do get my period regularly. it just sort of scares me that my periods are 36 days apart. so I hope it doesn't throw my ovulation off.
@taymarie08, yes and I am ttc my 2baby already I found out with my new obgyn that i have pcos and that why it took that long. I wish i had gone in sooner so it wouldn't have taken that long but i am happy. hopefully it doesn't take you that long.
@lillysmommy at least it all worked out and now you have a beautiful baby girl. (: I'm not expecting anything to happen right away, I'm just hoping it doesn't take more than a year.
your more normal then me I never know when mine will show up i have had it go as long a year before i get a period
well they say 35 day cycle is average, but anything over isnt. and I've read that a 40 day cycle is normal too. But on my Ovia app it says anything over 35 means irregular.. I'm hoping that doesn't cause problems with ttc!
I myself still dont know how to check my cycle. It use too be 21 days & then 28. my cycle kinda change when I started having sex. & for the first time my period tracker has been correct on the past few months. ive been getting my periods exactly on the day it says.
mine is 27 days for 3-4 days
