So, I'll be 29 weeks tomorrow. Last week, I went for an ultrasound because originally the baby was measuring a week behind, but now she is measuring about 3 weeks behind. I've got to start seeing a specialist 1x/week and my regular doctor 1x/week as well. My doctor told me it could also mean an earlier delivery, anytime from now until mid-March. Why is that? You'd think if the baby was behind, she would need to stay in longer than be delivered earlier. Has anyone else had experience with this? #secondbaby #29weeks

it's because something is causing the baby to have its growth restricted and it can cause a stillbirth so it's better for the baby to be delivered early. my daughter had restricted growth it was later on in my pregnancy when we found out I was 32 weeks and she measured a week behind but my doctor told me that was normal. the next time I was able to see him was at 35 week almost 36 weeks because of the holidays and she was 3 weeks behind. so I went to get an ultrasound and that next Monday I had to go to the high risk doctor and she told me that if I didn't have her by Friday the 27th of December and my 30th week mark I would be at 75% chance of a stillborn and since my cousin had a stillborn I didn't take the risk, but to come to find out if I didn't have it that bad they would have taken her the day before because my fluid was also very low
