Hello I am new here. 21 weeks with a baby girl. So excited! I do have one question I plan to exclusively breastfeeding my daughter but I am a little lost on how to start. If my milk comes in after she is born, do I hold off breast milk until I get a supply? Or is there another way? Please help I am so confused. Thank you in advance!

nope, latch as soon as you can. colustrum comes first which is the best for the baby

after colustrum comes your milk, hence "your milk coming in". but keep that baby on your boo as long as she wants to establish a supply. don't pump or suppliment for at least 6 weeks. it's normal for babies weight to dip the first week or so. anything else just ask

I 100% agree with @emily18234. Your welcome to ask me questions to. I breastfed my first baby exclusively till she was 1 year old. We had our struggles so I would be glad to help talk you through whatever issues you encounter.

agree with @emily18234 except my doctor had me pump right after a feeding even in the hospital they gave me stuff to put it in to give to the baby it was like a syringe thing

I have pumped with all my kids. I think if you are engorged after milk comes in, you need to pump to prevent clogged ducts and/or mastitis. Maybe I am weird but the first few days after my milk came in, it was nothing for me to pump 50+ ounces a day, after breastfeeding...
