LABOR STORY :OK so way over due but I've been recovering and enjoying my son. On December 20 I went to the hospital to get my platelets checked(they were low my whole pregnancy. I was told it would be best to induce considering they were only getting lower and the baby seemed to be to big Bc my torso was short so considering I was already 39 weeks I said yes and was told to go home get things ready and come back the morning of the 23rd. checked in at ten didn't get up stairs till about 3pm. all that time I was also alone just keeping everyone posted. that night my boyfriend came and stayed with me while the began this process of thinning out my cervix(longest night ever ) I was not dilating so they decided to insert a catheter with a balloon looking thing that basically inflates slowly and you dilate that way, very painful . I spent the night walking and bouncing on a ball. The morning of the 25th at ten my water broke and I was four centimeters dilated so I called my mother expecting a Christmas baby ... boy was I wrong at eight that night they started medically induced my contractions giving me stronger doses every twenty minutes by this time I was in the worse pain of my life feeling like my hips were tearing apart and screaming for an epidural. the nurses informed me I could not have on till my platelets were higher because I ran the risk of not clotting and bleeding severely if they were to low so every two hours I was having blood work done to see if I was eligible for an epidural. Around three am I finally got one .... still only seven centimeters dilated. Mid day on the Twenty six I was tired and yelling at any one who moved wrong including the nurses. my mom left to tend to my sisters and my boyfriend was beyond himself with how to comfort me . Around seven that night I was finally dilated enough to start pushing at first I had my boyfriend two nurses and a doctor in the room I then had an anxiety attack and the baby's heart rate dropped to which the head nurse told everyone to leave the room and my boyfriend to just stand aside so that it was just me and her because I felt to crowded. I then told her I was only numb on one side of my body and still fully feeling the contractions on the other . my son had sat on a nerve and it was to late to re do the epidural. so in pain I kept pushing at ten pm I asked why he wasn't lowering down a song showed he was facing up and stuck behind my pelvic bone so I had two choices keep pushing and risk losing him because his oxygen was dropping or have a emergency c section and risk me not clotting Bc of my platelets. at this point my boyfriend starts freaking out as I'm telling the doctors to just get my son out what ever it takes. I signed all the paperwork got prepped called my mother and waited for extra blood to be put aside and platelets in case I needed a transfusion. I had many doctors around me but three I remember delivering Jr one cutting me open one pushing the top of my stomach and anther pushing Jr's head back up my birth canal. at 4am on the 27of December I heard the noise that made it all worth it my son was crying and. entered the world at a healthy 8.9pounds
