Not necessarily. You just don't want to cut a ton of calories because you burn 300-500 calories a day breastfeeding. So you can "diet" by eating super healthy, but make sure you're getting enough healthy calories and water to produce enough milk. I waited until he was about 7 ish months old and I had a strong supply before kinda testing the water to see what I could and couldn't do as far as diet.
