Feel good moment of the day. We essentially only had today to dig out of the snow since hubby works tomorrow and we have to pick up my son tomorrow after work. We measured 33" and there was a mountain in front of our driveway from the snow plows doing the street. After taking an hour just to dig to my car, I was losing hope that SO was going to be able to do it. I fell asleep and woke up to hubby talking to some guy. The skeptic in me thought it was someone trying to hustle money from him, but at that point, it was kind of like whatever, as long as the guy doesn't gouge us. A couple hours later, hubby grabs his phone and goes outside, so I figured "perfect, he can just transfer the money to the dude and I don't have to worry about him driving to the ATM". He comes back in a couple minutes later and goes "that was a really great kid." He was apparently 13, turning 14 next week and for the past 2 days had been going around shoveling and the only thing he asked in return was a call to his mom to verify how long he was there so that he could submit community service hours towards a wrestling scholarship towards Penn State. Hubby offered to pay him and even then the kid declined saying basically he just wanted the karma and if he was ever in need he'd hope people would do the same for him. That parent is doing parenting 110% right.

@momma_2_batbaby, I know. my jaw just hung open when he told me he was only 13 and wasn't expecting to be paid. Like people who do things out of the goodness in their heart actually do exsist.
