I had one on my armpit too but it went away.

I've never had one but I've seen a drainage done and they'll just give a local anesthetic, slice it open, drain it, and remove the sackage that it's in. Then give you a stitch or 2.

I literally get cysts in my armpits and other places ALL the time. They are painful but they have all just gone away on their own. If it really bothers you, you can try putting warm wash cloths on it... but it's honestly completely harmless. I have been to the doctors countless times for it and I seriously get them ALL the time, never ever had to get it drained or anything like that. It simply goes away. Takes a few weeks at most.

It alarms me but my doctors have always brushed it off, and I'm talking four different doctors. Shaving opens up your pores and dirt gets inside. It will go away. Unless it's like HUUUGE. In my experience there is no need to go to a surgeon.

@wrd2016, but that's only if it you notice it getting bigger or it doesn't go away. They should tell you at the general surgeons. I promise after the numbing shots you won't feel anything.

@babymay2016, @tlokitabella91 well I told my doctor about it over a month ago and he said that we would keep an eye on it, at first it was small and didn't hurt, but it's huge now and its getting sensitive so he said he wants it to be looked at and that's not his area of profession 😂😂

I mean I have honestly had some pretty nasty scary ones but they have ALWAYS gone away. The longest I had one was for three months once. How big is huge? Because I have even had one the size of a golf ball, no joke, and they seriously told me it would just go away, and it did.

@babymay2016, @jessica0830 it has gotten ALOT bigger in the last month, at first the doctor wasn't too worried about it, just said we would keep an eye on it, but it's like 3x the size it was at first so he wants it to be looked at, and I hope if I do have to have it drained that your right about it not hurting lol. but that's what my doctor thought it could be at first was an infected hair follicle

@babymay2016, ill take a picture when I get out of the shower, it's definitely not golf ball sized but it's gotten really big compared to what it was. and a smaller one is coming up next to it,

Yes I have had all of that happen, except having it drained.. I honestly wanted to have that done at one point, but they still wouldn't do it. It really shouldn't hurt that bad. I have watched videos of it. They just numb the area, cut a little bit, squeeze it all out and sow it back up.

Haha mine was freaking huge. I was freaking out. I get them in my arm pits every week or so, and have gotten them in another area from shaving. They told me not to shave anymore because I have sensitive skin, but I just can't stand that. It will for sure go away but they can drain it if necessary. I don't see how they didn't drain mine, but it did eventually go away. Was just very uncomfortable to sit for weeks and I thought I had some type of infection or something. Was just a very painful cyst. Sorry if that is TMI but seriously it is just from shaving. Even if it is a hair follicle or just dirt or for any reason, it will go away..

No its nothing you yourself can cause. it's generally fluid, if it's been there for a while it could have harden a little bit and will be more like the contents of a huge pimple, just in a larger quantity

Shaving opens up your pores, and then dirt or sweat can get inside... It honestly has nothing to do with being dirty or anything, it just happens when you open it up from shaving. Its really nasty but it is a huge pocket of puss or sometimes blood. It does go away.

^^^ yes exactly. Like a huge pimple. Sometimes it can pop but other times it does just go away. Either is normal and okay.

if it isn't causing a problem, they'll probably give you a humbling agent and then cut it open to drain it

I wonder why I have never had one drained before... I have been to the doctor a lot of times and have had a shit ton of them. But yeah it is pretty nasty... Not harmful though
