Last night, after Samira had her bath, I lay her down to get her powdered up and in her jammies. I saw some white discharge looking stuff by her crotch and called my mom into the bathroom before I did anything. I didn't touch her anywhere below the belly button prior, other than to wash her crotch area during the bath. She let out the most hideous scream when I called for my mom, it sounded as if I'd branded her. Needless to say I bawled when she did that because she wouldn't stop and I couldn't figure out what was wrong. Well, today, with the new light and calm, we checked because she had more of the discharge stuff. My mom checked because I couldn't...She says she might have a yeast infection, which I have to call her doctor about on Monday when he's there, but she also said there's a small tear just underneath her opening, on the perineum. Did anyone have anything like that happen before, either from the skin being too dry while they kicked around or too much pressure applied or something? Could I have accidentally done that while bathing her? She's only ever been alone with me and my mom, and neither of us would ever think of anything sexual towards her so please no one suggest that my mom or I sexually abused her. But has anyone had that happen where a small tear accompanies a possible yeast infection in their little one that causes them to scream as if the devil himself is after them?
