Why is cleaning a baby's nose so dang difficult ugh always a struggle

I try and do a quick sneak attack lol it's worth the cry

My son would throw a fit kick and scream and slap the thing when I went to put it in his nose but now I do it every other day and I have a noisy toy that I used to distract him and it has gotten a lot easier. Also try and give them like a 10 minute bath and keep the door closed because then it softens it and I'll come out easier
