if you take really hot and long showers, it can dry your skin out. but I would put extreme hydration lotion on and if it's still unbearable, I'd call my doctor and tell him! hope everything works out!!!

Not trying to scare you, but please read this and look into cholestasis. http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/cholestasis-of-pregnancy/basics/definition/con-2003298 I know someone who had such severe itching like you're describing and it turned out to be this and it almost cost her her babies life. Again, not trying to freak you out, it's just always better to be safe than sorry! Hope you get to feeling better!

I get that way sometimes at night. It seems like nothing will stop the itch and like it spreads from one place to another. So frustrating! Fortunately mine usually goes away before too long and if it doesn't, the oil I use for my belly will typically make it stop.
