Any c-section mommies have any advice or tips on best ways to recover at home? We got discharged from the hospital yesterday but with the way my body feels I probably could have used a couple more days.

take it easy. try not to left anything heavy. biggest advice if you have someone that can help you let them help out for a few days. that was my biggest mistake i didnt let my in laws help me out and it took me longer to heal and i had a complete break down because of it

Don't over do yourself but you need to walk, the less you move around the worse it's going to be. And don't wait until you're in pain to take something for it stay on top of the pain!

use the belly band they give you at the hospital!! it saved me especially when I started wearing jeans again.

Keep up on pain meds even if you're feeling good, and keep moving. I had my second c-section on December 14th and if I'd stay still too long I'd feel stiff.

@tersavigek, yeah I know how that is. I feel so tight after sitting for a while. Hospital sent me home with oxy.. they only gave me a certain amount of doses and if I run out and still need them will they refill them?

I didn't run out of mine. I took mine twice a day and that's it and in between I had ibuprofen they gave me.

I asked for a refill at my one week incision check, I suggest standing by the couch or wherever your station nd slowly lift your legs like your taking step, do this every couple hours on your was too bathroom. I'm 6 weeks out
