Any of my preggies have their nipples pierced or did when their milk came in was it any more painful…

I took mine out, I was afraid they'd be a choking hazard, but I'd like to know as well if any mama's kept them in

@qmejias95, oh no if I breast feed I'm not keeping them in for that reason but I don't plan to breast feed and I'm just curious if since when they're pierced it's more sensitive if it hurts more once your milk does come in. I may just pump and bottle feed that way

I mean I've had colostrum leaking but & it's not painful. I'm hoping since I know the pain of getting them pierced the latching process isn't as bothersome.

@qmejias95, I have colostrum leaking too never hurts but when your milk comes in its completely different and I hear generally it's painful. Your breast get engorged and painfully swollen. So I wonder if it hurts even more when your milk comes in if you have your nipples pierced lol I mean so far my boobs haven't been painful through my pregnancy only in the beginning and nothing enough to take me piercing out

I took mines out already since I was 6 weeks. I mean I liked them but I didn't want nothing to possibly hinder me being able to breast feed and my nipple started to hurt . My dr also recommended I take them out so the holes can heal but they still are open and leak stuff all the time.

I took mine out at about 18-20 weeks Bc they began to get sore....they are still open and I have leaking from the hole all the time....they may hurt if the ring is too tight on the nipple is my assumption and if u pump u have to remove them anyways Bc the metal is not good for the baby to consume.....breastfed women have to do the same if they keep them in but the constant in and out can irritate your nipples along with the cracking etc.
