Rant! PLEASE HELP So yesterday I met with a midwife at a birth center She was absolutely amazing! The only down side is my insurance doesnt cover all the cost. We would have to pay 2200 out of pocket by June to be under her care. Then I had a doctors appointment at 230. I showed up early as I always do. I waited 50 minutes past my appointment before even being called back to a room the nurse did her initial checks and I got to hear my little guys heart beat. 4 pm came around and we were still waiting. This isnt the first time this has happened. So i told my husband we are leaving. they were both standing at the station doing something. I said to them my appointment was at 230 and it is now 4 and we are leaving she turns her head to me and say well this is an obgyn office.... Wtf does that have to do with anything! with my first I never had to wait that long and I saw my doctor every visit. If you cant handle your patient load stop taking new patients. Get a new front desk person who knows how to schedule begter. This office Ive never met let alone even seen my doctor..... So we walked out! I immediately called and filed a complaint with the board! Im so torn on what to do! I refused to be treated differently just because of the insurance i carry. I should be able to build a relationship with my care provider and feel comfortable and cared about. I havent gotten this! What should I do....?
