It annoys me to constantly be told to "walk" to prepare my body for labour. I already have vaginal and anal pressure. When my son wants to come out he will come out. I personally don't think walking induces or can even prepare you for labour.

walking helps, but it isn't the answer to everything. Nor is it as easy as it sounds. 😂 I got told to walk so much with my first, yeah. I'd rather sit. and eat.

I stood and walked around all day with my job he came two weeks early and my labor was nice and fast. 6.5 hours and my first. Personally I think it helped even though I thought I was gonna die everyday at work from like 27 weeks + lol

@their.bomb.ass.mom, exactly! Specially because I lose my breath while talking not to mention when walking. I don't have time to be feeling winded.

@edomke, I was standing at my job and walking around 8 hours a day. I quit because the pressure and cramping I was feeling was not worth the money I was making. I could barely walk after every shift... My back would feel like someone was pulling me apart, and I would get 3+ leg cramps a night. I do feel like standing for several hours like that does cause some sort of early labor, but walking around for 30 min or so I don't believe makes any change.

I walked about 1.5 miles with my dad and he had me talking to him the whole way & I went into labor about 3-4 hours later and it lasted about 11hrs, you never know!
