I've read post where woman say I'm 5 cm dilated an 90% effective.. why they not in the hospital?? I thought when u turn 4 cm u get put in????

the contractions hurt when they happen but it's pretty much you feel more pressure on your pelvis. it's not like I could tell how far I was until the doctor told me I dilated @javiersmom
No, they usually don't take you unless you're in active labor. Having contractions, or water has broken.
No, not necessarily. At 32 weeks with my last I was dilated to a 3/4 & 90% effaced. I didn't go into the hospital, I wasn't in active labor & my water hadn't broke.
nope..I'm 40 weeks 4 cm dilated but not in active labor. contractions are not consistant they vary so they have been opening my cervix for about a week and a half now.
not always. I know a girl that 5 cm right now her Dr. sent her back home. I guess baby just isn't ready

I'm 37 weeks 4 days and my son is already dropped taking practice breathes an I'm dilated 2 cm have been having diarea for 3 days .
I suppose labor will start soon..
