How many centimeters dilated before they admit you to the hospital?

4-5 with contractions

4-5 or your water has to of broken

I was a 3 but they went ahead and took me since I was in active labor, having contractions, and really thinned out. She said you usually have to be at a 4. But I've seen them not admit women even dilated to that since they weren't in active labor.

@lovelycin09, @kparis, thanks ladies. cause I was just in the hospital last night and was at a 3 almost 4 they said and was having contractions, they gave me a shot to stop the contractions cause they said any amount of time longer baby stays in is better, so do you ladies think I'll be having my baby soon, that's what I was thinking

Possibly! There's no way to really tell, but deff sounds like baby is trying so I'd get everything 100% ready (:
