I wouldn't freak out too much unless you have preterm labor signs. Your mucus plug can regenerate.

the only thing that is throwing me off is that my belly isn't hard. it tightens here and there but not when my cramping is strong enough to where I hav to breathe thru it

Yep I lost mine at 32 weeks, even had contractions and ended up in the hospital. But no dilation. Ive been losing it ever since and I'm 38 weeks.

You can lose it this early. It can also grow back

I have heard it regenerates itself so its fine as long as there's no blood in it. Not for sure though
