I think it's because inducing isn't instaneous lol it can take days sometimes x

It's because if your body really isn't ready it doesn't always respond to the first load of induction pessarys they give you. Apparently. X

I think it depends on your hospital and risk. I was low risk and they was gonna let me get to 41weeks 5days to induce me. I got given the sweep at around 40weeks and it did nothing really apart from giving me a few pains. but it's no problem being induce at 41. some people are induced earlier. a friend of mine was induced at 38week's but she was a high risk pregnancy.
