My husband just applied at the State prison as a correctional officer and was accepted. They are super short staffed!

He doesn't need any experience at all. As long as he doesn't have a felony, he qualifies! The Job will also give him free insurance and cheap insurance for you and the new baby! A first level CO starts at $2,695 a month.

Yes, but it was crazy easy! Like they have 15 min to run/walk one lap on a track.

He has to go to the TDCJ.com website. He needs to print an application, fill it out and there will be an option to schedule a testing day and he'll take his application with him when he goes along with the other documents they need. The test is just a simple memory and math test and they will interview him that day. He can schedule the test on the website and pick a location too. @jordanxavier10

My husband works at the Conally unit in Kenedy. But they should have a bonus lost online that will show which units offer the bonus@jordanxavier10
