I am so stressed. I bought a laptop for school September 1st. It's fried or something. It won't turn on. I'm flipping out. I let the battery die because my moms husband said to try that. It didn't work. I've tried everything in the last 24 hours. So I have a broken comp and 2 online college classes this semester!!! Very very anxious rite now. Cannot afford another comp when baby comes in 7 weeks.

take it to geek squad. laptops usually have a 1 year warranty. you might be able to get a new one for no charge if they can't fix it

I am going to tomorrow. But I don't think I got any warranty on it. I know I got tech support and stuff but if it's not something in geek squads field I don't think they will help me without a fat bill or a whole new computer !! I didn't expect it to go out in 4 and a half months!!

My computer used to do that too me and it was the battery. I replaced it and it was fine. Also check the charger cord it might be that. If neither of those two it could be overheating and need a new fan.

Okay!! I let it die yesterday!! The cord seems to be charging it just fine!!! It's on but it's a solid black screen but it's lit up. I let it die because my moms husband said to try that (I'm assuming he thinks the battery as well) and I plugged it in today now that it's dead and it's on this lit black screen again. It comes on and says the pc ran into a problem and it has to restart but once it "restarts" it just goes to this lit black screen!!
