Does anyone else have dermal piercings on their hips they had to get removed? if so where did you go…

If the shop won't remove them then there's really nothing you or your ob can do, you can try to remove it yourself. I'd just let your doctor know they won't do it.

my OB told me to take them out in case I have to have a c section I don't want to take them out I've had them 2 years and still love them. but the shop told me they wouldn't touch me and I'd have to go see a doctor to have them taken out. @kparis

They say that, but in the event that you actually have to have a c-section, they aren't going to refuse you because you have them, you know?

a friend of mine had them and they ended up ripping out as she got big.. chances are the piercer who gave them to you can also remove them.

well I moved 1000 miles away from my home town which is where the piercer is so not much I can do in that sense ha @littlemissrainesmommy and idk my friend couldn't even get her tonsils removed because she had hip dermals I guess it depends on the doctor or midwife she just told me because of where they have to cut for a c section especially in an emergency that my dermals would be a problem so they needed to come out before so idk maybe I'll get big enough to just pop them out maybe not I guess we shall see @kparis

I had 6, I took 5 of the six out myself. So if you really feel like you have to get them out, you can do it yourself. But personally I don't think you should worry about it (:

I don't think I have the mental strength to pull em out myself haha but I'll just wait and when I get closer to due date go from there @kparis

It's metal, if your heart stops they will shock your heart with electricity and it will conduct through your dermals and hurt you.

yes I know this... that's why I was asking what doctors can take them out I've heard they will pop out on their own the further along you get but no one has given me an answer my OB doesn't even know who takes them out she said maybe a dermatologist but they have a 6 month waiting list and i don't have 6 months to wait around. I had them in when I got my tonsils out and the doctor just put tape over them and took me into surgery. they didn't say anything about their concern of my heart stopping they were more concerned with closing me up if I have to have a c section for some reason. @theburleighs2016

Weird!! Well I'm 37 weeks and mine hasn't popped out, but I'm sure it'll all be okay! You probably won't even need a c-section 😌😘

Hmmm. I would think a dermatologist would be the one. But of course, they have the longest waiting list EVER. I hope you can figure it out, or you don't have to worry about it.

doctor recommend i remove mine but i am not, i have it written in birth plan that if i do need a c-section i give my consent to cut them out

well that works to ha I will definitely consent to them taking them out but I don't think I'm going to worry about them @live.laugh.love
