No I fully agree with you. It's so frustrating. I bust my ass every day so someone else can sit on theirs?! Oh hell no! And even then I can't get any help? It's bullshit.

That's weird they give it to people who don't work. I tried getting help with daycare when I was working and they wouldn't give it to me because my son's dad wasn't and then when we broke up they gave it to me but my employer had to send them proof of my work schedule

this is literally my fiancés ex. its insane. Not only does he have partial custody, and put a roof over their head, feed them and cloth them when we have them, she had welfare come after him for child support. she has never worked, never paid a bill, lives off of people, and even refused to move out of his parents house. I really don't understand how the system works. They pretty much give the green light to have kids and they will provide for them. Why isn't there a deadline? I won't even set a wedding date, because then they will take my wages into consideration. I work hard and I take care of my kids. I pay my bills! why should I have to pay her to sit at he and do nothing!? so frustrating

im not asking for free anything . They have a program that helps you pay for child care based on your income thats what I was asking about and the lady told me I had to be on welfare to qualify or be put on a waiting list . its soo backwards!!

I went threw that same convo. I was shocked! I didn't even know how to respond to her. it's like so because I work, and don't just sit at home and let the state provide for me, I can't get any help? I always say, you either have to be on drugs, our be a complete piece of shit, to get any help. I have a 7 year old and a 11 month old, I work 5 days a week, and I don't know who will watch them till the night before. it's sad. they make the people doing the right thing struggle more, and the ones that don't do anything get to live easy @rhia

I'm on welfare, and the only time they offer child care is if you are receiving cash aid and you are required to look for a job, there are requirements actually so you can't just sit on your ass or else you don't get anything. Some people abuse the system but don't forget those who do not abuse it and actually need help just as you do.

Im sorry that Im mad because they pretty much told me to get on welfare ...I know there are people who really need it but I think after a year you should no longer be able to get cash aid @pandabear911

For some it only lasts for a year, if anything maybe two years. There should be help for low income I agree.

umm.. im on welfare and you only get child care paid for if your working or going to school.. you dont get it all the time either bcus if your spouse is home when you are at work or school technically he or she can watch them and you wont qualify.. to be honest its a pain in the ass and you have to meet criteria. being a single parent i get it all the time but only while working or at school. sooooo no we all dont just dont sit at home on our ass all day

and trust me having assistance doesnt help. you guys that actually work make more than us getting help i only get 400 a month for me and 3 soon to be 4 kids it doesnt do shit.. 2 of my kids dont qualify bcus i was on it longer than 10 months before having my next child so basically to qualify you have to have a baby and get pregnant again right after the babies born to qualify
