Every state is different. But I did my stuff through DHS but you could call the child support division and ask how to go about setting it all up

I called my local attorney generals office for the child support division and set up a case where they contacted the father and let him know he was being served with child support papers, then an appointment was set up where we went into a conference type room with just the father and I and discussed everything. Usually thats how you go about it. I know it's different everywhere though.

Any, I'm absolutely clueless about it all I've been told to go into the dshs office but I wanted to see if anyone had any tips, advice, or suggestions first.
