sooo I know this girl from where I'm from who is 30 weeks pregnant & she said she's been smoking electric cigarette since the middle of her pregnancy & her ob said it's fine. I don't agree with this at all... do you know what kind of chemicals are inside of the liquid? you might as well just smoke regular cigarettes... I use to always smoke, but it's not hard giving something bad up. put your kid before yourself!
can I get some opinions on this?

I agree. There is a study by the lung and cancer organization that says there are some very horrible chemicals in the e-cigs and that people shouldn't think they are better because they are just as bad.

I have been a smoke since I was 13.. my Dr didn't want me quiting cold turkey at all because it could've killed me baby. there's lots of factors that play into that. or did she start doing it go fit in??

I asked my ob about it & he told me I better not even think of smoking electric cigarette, that's it's just as bad

no she's been smoking, but so have i... my dr made me quit & me & baby are fine @momma_2_batbaby

Yeah it has some pretty horrible stuff in it! I don't know of a lot of situations where it could kill your baby if you stopped because they can supplement the nicotine cravings now.

my Dr didn't want me quitting because of the amount I smoked before I got pregnant was almost 2 packs and it could've thrown him into shock.

yeah I know that's why I'm so glad I found out early on that I was pregnant! I haven't smoked since I was 3 weeks, of course I had no idea but I'm 29 weeks now & haven't even thought of picking one up! I'm so proud @tater4414

I agree about the electric cigs I've read about them bc I was trying to quit smoking and everything says they are worse than regular cigs. and I also agree that I shouldn't smoke at all, but when I found out I was pregnant my ob told me not to just quit cold turkey bc it could do more harm than good, I still smoke and the baby is perfectly fine. my doctor knows, and I've cut back to maybe a half a pack a day. I know the risks though, and I'm definitely not choosing them over my daughter, I try harder to quit everyday and will not be smoking around her when she's born and think I will pretty much quit all together bc of taking care of her. it's hard to quit after smoking for so long.
