Starting 4 weeks before delivery my doctors noticed a spike in my blood pressure. They didn't call it preeclampsia until I was in labor (I was induced early for having a consistent 155/100). I still have high blood pressure today and my daughter is almost 7 weeks. I've been on two different types of hbp meds. I get severe headaches that sometimes last for days. Has anyone dealt with this before? Has your blood pressure ever returned to normal?

I had HELLP syndrome, which is worse than preeclampsia. My bp went right back down after delivery, however it can take several months to stabilize. Talk to you doctor about HELLP syndrome, bc it could've been that you were misdiagnosed! HELLP can last much longer than preeclampsia.

I had high blood pressure when I was pregnant. A normal was 180/100 but it would get 200/100 sometimes as well. My urine never showed the protein though so I couldn't be diagnosed with preeclampsia, my son is 5 months old and I get terrible headaches that will make me sick nearly every other day. It's taking forever for me to get an appointment at the neurologist. I was told that if you are on birth control it makes it worse. I hope you figure something out!

Oh wow! sorry to hear that. Do you know if it's a specific kind of birth control? Did they put you on any medication?
