You still need fluids, so yes hun you still need an IV of just Saline.

yeah cuz when your in labor natural or medicated you can't drink to stay hydrated, you can have ice chips n popsicles. But if you needed medicine emergency wise it is easier to administer thru the IV and acts faster thru IV.

@moe899 its a bacteria that some pregnant women have so when you're about 35 weeks your OB doctor gives you a Strep B test to see if you have it

You don't have to have an iv if your doing a completely natural birth. They recommend one just in case an emergency situation arises.
