It usually takes time for an amount of snow that large to build up. If the warning doesn't even start until 7, that doesn't mean it will all of sudden be horrible within 3 hours of that. You should be absolutely fine to work until 10. This is coming from someone who deals with winter storms on a regular basis.

Alright thanks! @foreveryoung247 @gracesmommy16 @mimiz @babymadelyngrace, and I understand it will take a while to build up but the roads are wet on my road from yesterday's snow still and will become ice by dark.

You will be absolutely fine to work. If it got bad enough out to where you couldn't drive, your work would know and take the proper steps. I would never jeopardize my employment because of hearing the words winter storm warning. You NEED a job to survive, why risk pissing them off? I guess this is just my opionon. Good luck to you.

I am going in, I'm just wondering how long to stay. I work for a family owned restaurant. One girl I worked with wrecked on the way there cause they made her come and all the did was apologize. Another girl pulled in the parking lot and there was a few inches of snow and slid the 20+ feet from the entrance of the lot to the building. So I don't quite trust their judgement. the manager I work with tonight has 4 wheel drive. So I wouldn't be surprised if she kept us there my road gets a lot worse than the main roads. @babymadelyngrace

Just be careful and take your time. If it gets to the point where you feel uncomfortable, express that to them.

@mommy2be15, be careful! Tell them you have to leave if the snow starts while you're there. We're supposed to get a good bit in Asheville. I went & stocked up on groceries last night. I already told my job I'm working from home tomorrow if it's bad lol.
