So I'm pretty excited. Doctor said he's gonna sweep my membranes next week because I'll be 38 weeks in a few days and that should put me into labor. Who had their membranes swept? and how long till you went into labor afterwards?

it worked great for me. with my first i got my membranes swept around 2 o'clock and the very next day at 5 in the morning I woke up with very strong contractions and eventually just took myself to the hospital when I couldn't handle it anymore.

yeah worked great for me and I've heard that some women say its really painful but when I got it done it just felt like a bunch of pressure and was really uncomfortable. i'll cross my fingers for you

I got it done twice, I honestly don't remember but I had to have been passed 38wks. I ended up getting induced ... but not everyone ends up like me lol I hope the best for you:)) I see it working!! my son was just stubborn! lol

Haha. @mommybump2016 I hope it works for me. I really would like this to work and me not have to get induced. I don't want a medicated birth so I didn't want the medicine they use to induce

It took a day and a half for me to go into labor, but I was already over 39 weeks, 2.5 cm dilated,and thinned

@jjbutton, Wow! that seems like a long time for how far along you were! I would think it would be almost instant lol
